About Us
Our Journey
laimiga design studio is a landscape architecture design studio based in regional Victoria, founded in 2018 by Felicity Brown. Under the big skies of the Wimmera, we weave together community, country, and play. We integrate Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, and Sensory Design to celebrate and nurture each project's distinct character and culture to achieve the clients brief. Through thoughtful exploration and empathy, we uncover the essence of each landscape, shaping spaces that enrich the experience of the people who will live in, move through and enjoy them.
We have had the pleasure of working with communities close to us and those further afield, north to the Murray River, south to the coast, west across the border into South Australia and east to where the country meets the city.
Our Services
laimiga design studio is located in the heart of the Wimmera and has focused on a wide variety of projects under our big skies. While originally focusing on children's spaces with particular attention to sensory gardens and special needs play areas, laimiga works with a wide variety of community groups, educators, residents, students, local government and therapists to develop a thriving and adaptable landscape that supports our health and well being across a broad range of settings.

Consultation & Engagement
Create inclusive and age-appropriate consultation techniques suited to client and stakeholders requirements.
Landscape Master Plans
Our master planning process includes gaining a thorough understanding of the site, site analysis, stakeholder engagement, establishment of a shared vision, preliminary master planning and prioritisation. Typically used for larger sites.
Schematic/Concept Design
Landscape Concept and Schematic designs offer a client a similar process to the master plan, however, for a much smaller area. The process involves a high level of client involvement and once completed lead to tender documentation.
Town Planning
We work collaboratively with clients to support town planning application projects.
Planting Designs
Planting plans and schedules may form part of a landscape concept DIY project or as part of full tender documentation drawings.
Design Development
Design development drawings form the transition from concept to tender documentation drawings. They consider the resolved layout, material and planting palettes and provide the client the opportunity to finalise all revisions.
Tender Documentation
The tender documentation set is the drawing package that includes a full set of documents to tender the project. Including layout, setout, and planting plans, lighting, details and specifications as required.
Advice & services during tendering & construction
laimiga can offer advice and comment during construction ensuring the best outcome for the client or can provide full contract administration, dependent on the clients requirements.
